Educator's Corner
Myrtle Point Park is a wonderful resource for teachers and their students. The Park has many potential outdoor classroom facilities to assist educators in curriculum expansion beyond typical classroom experiences. The Park features include tidal ponds, shallow open water, regrowth forests, and alien flora invasives. A look at the Park heritage reveals interesting discussion points as students can imagine Native American settlements, 18th century colonial towns, and more recent threats of heavy industrial development.
